Man O Man... I had just downloaded HuntStand last week, but didn't really give it a true test before I posted this want ad for a hand held GPS. Now I wonder... does ONX have more or different features than Huntstand? Or should I just stick with huntstand and learn it better?? Thanks Guys... sorry for any confusion that I have caused... My Bad....LOL

You need service for the phone app to work. Garmin with OnX mini SD card. Then you have it all.

I run OnX on my phone for the more detailed imagery, but also always have a garmin with onx chip as more of a fail safe in case my phone battery dies, or I do something stupid like forgetting to download offline maps ahead of time... happens to me way too often, haha

If you view your onX hunt area maps while you have service they will work in the field when you do not have service

Huntstand works great you need to learn how to use all its features
