Vari-X 3, tall turret adjustability

I recently took possession of a mint condition Vari-X 3, 4.5-14x40 Tactical, Mil-dot with AO on the obj lens.

The turrets are the tall, 1/4 MOA adjustment with screw on/off covers. I want to set the turrets at zero for my 100 yd zero. Their looks to be 3 small Allen head screws, set 120 deg apart. So small I don't have a Allen wrench that small. Am I doing this correctly? Do I loosen 1 or more of the screws, lift the turret up and move it to zero?

I'll guy the correct size Allen wrench if that is what is needed.

you've got it. loosen all three, rotate around to zero and tighten. i'm pretty sure the allen size is .050.

Dang! My smallest is .060".

Hope the local hardward store has .050".
