Upgrading rangefinder

Ok, so its time to upgrade my range finder. I use 10x42 SLC's and Leupold rangefinder. Im going to upgrade to a Leica. Trying to decide on keep using the SLC's and buy a Leica 2800 or sell SLC's and buy the Leica HDB 3000. Any opinions?

What leupold are you using? How is it on longer range animals.
