Hey Guys,
I have a pair of Sako L61R actions that are in need of new tubes. One is a 300 win the other is a 375 H&H. I happen to have a pair of proof research Barrels in .308 and .338. I was planning to re-barrel the 300 win the same, but I was looking to move the other to a 338. The 33 Nosler has my attention as it will duplicate or slightly better the muzzle energy and still provide good long range ballistics. with a Mag Length of 3.6" a long loaded 33 nosler will fit the ballistic profile I would like, however in my search for a smith who like to work on sako actions I have been told the ultramag case tends to have feeding issues. I will be continuing to use this as my guide rifle so feeding issues are a big concern. I have seen a few ultra-mags built off these actions, so I am curious what your experience is. Thanks guys,
Dan
