Nikon Monarch I was just checking them out.Was looking at the Vortex 4x16x50 but read they are not so good in low light.I have a couple of Leupolds 3x9s and love them. But I want something with a turrent. And Leupolds more than I want to spend.

Well the monarch lines are very good quality, but make sure that the turrets match the reticle. A mil dot reticle if it's matched to a 1/4 moa turret is fantastically dumb.

I have had a couple of both brands. bought a Nikon monarch 7 and had to send it back because it wouldn't track. I'm very happy with my 4-16 ffp vortex.

At one time, Leupold 3x9x40 was the gold standard scope.

We all know what we like. I like as little as possible on my rifle and scopes.
