Besides being beautiful, Good dense wood is very stable. They are also very durable and can be refinished if it does scratched, it can be easily repaired if the finish is hand rubbed.

We are mostly individuals on this site and a fine piece of wood is One of a kind and can even have a personality.

They are also a fine canvas for someone like Joel to do his magic on.

Beautiful and functional.

Beautiful stock. Never been much of a wood stock guy especially for a hunting rig. You've changed my mind. I'll be looking into that exact stock for a future hunting rifle build. Thanks for your post. John
 
Bubinga is heavy and dense. This one weighs about 4 lbs.
Love it. I don't think I could drag something that beautiful into the mountains anyways!
The only reason I wouldn't carry one in the mountains is weight. Bubinga is approaching aluminum hardness and it would be much easier to sand/refinish if needed. For a PRS rifle it would be awesome!
