Surgeon Action 1" rings Wyatt internal mag

Can anybody please tell me what are the best 1 inch rings to mount on a Surgeon short action to get a 50mm scope nice and close to the (heavy) barrel? Also, will a Wyatt extended internal magazine used with standard hinged floorplate Remington 700 bottom metal fit the short action Surgeon repeater action without any machining? Thanks.
