Was out today trying to sight in my .300 PRC out to 900 yards today. We have a special range here locally that goes out that far. Well, I was trying to get my Tenacity rifle sighted in, and was working on the 500 yard target getting pretty inconsistent results. It didnt help that it was windy. Then all of a sudden I get this wierd shot. The guy next to says "I just saw your suppressor fly down range". Not a bullet strike. Half the can was still on the muzzle. We found the other half out 75 yards!! Its a Scythe Ti. Will SilencerCo tomorrow. I was only shooting 3 to 4 shots at a time and had a shop fan to cool the rifle down between. Its only had at most 500 shots total thru it. Yikes. It blew the welds.

I have been hearing of issues with the Scythe TI. Sorry to see it happen to you though. That sucks.

It was only a matter of time. My Scythe Ti is on my 6.5 CM, 6 ARC, 223, etc. Maybe I need to toss it on my 300 PRC and get the imminent failure out of the way!

There ya go. End it quick. Nip it in the bud.

I might have to use tge repaired on solely on my 7mm PRC and just use my Dead Air primal on the .300 PRC. I bought the dead air for the .375 Ruger. Oh well. The Scythe is great on the 7mm PRC in terms of sound reduction, lightness, and recoil. Funny how they jacked up the the cost on new ones by guess tge amount....$250!! LOLOL. FCKRZ.

I use a Primal on alot of things with no issue. 300 win mag, 338 win mag, 9.3x62, etc. I even added the Ebrake from a Nomad to it and drilled out the hole to .5" with a unibit. The E-brake is slightly oversized, but is nice because it helps keep the suppressor wrap/cover from sliding forward under recoil.
