If you were hunting southern kansas through the next week what would be your plan of attack... call wise... or any other tips would be great.

Take 3 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, your thermos of coffee, and a low lean back chair and stay all day! Oh...and a pack of Levi Garrett chewing tobacco!

Well be there working all week and have access to 8000 ac surrounding the place were staying. Just gonna make a few sets in the morning and a cpl in the evening and work through the middle of the day. I'm just gonna try and run a camera since I don't have a NR license for there and well have a Primos alpha dog caller... Any suggestions on what type of calls to use or stay away from. We've both hunted dogs around home here in Iowa but always with just simple rabbit sounds... Didn't know if this time of year there was something that might work better or something to avoid using.

Most people start thinking about vocals this time of year. Stay away from the Challenge Howls unless you get challenged. If you don't think the area has been called, I wouldn't be afraid of using some distress sounds. Jack or Cottontail. They gotta eat. Pup distress can be good also. Good luck on the hunt!
