Looking for recommendations. I have talked to a couple outfitters, I have left messages for a couple more that have not returned phone calls. For the most part I'm in the dark on who to use. Driving north from out of state, so Southern CO is best logistically.

1st time elk hunter, I will probably be solo so fully guided is best.

Considering east fork outfitters and back country outfitters currently. If anyone has experience with either I'm all ears. PM me if you prefer not to post publicly. Open to other ideas.

I want a back country hunt, no stands or lodges.

I have 1 preference point, so I could draw 1st rifle in this area (gmu 77) from what I understand.

TIA

It's a longer drive to nw CO but paperskis big game hunts in Craig CO has a good reputation. And Craig area has the biggest elk herds in the country.
