Back about 1977 I worked at a gunshop while in high school and one time we got in a gun that made a big impression on me for one feature: the sling swivels. The rifle was a Colt Sauer bolt action. What was so unique about these studs as oppossed to the run of the mill Uncle Mike's was that they were totally inletted flush with the stock wood and they were kinda a male / female connection in a clamshell that took a 180 degree turn to look them or unlock them. They looked really, really good and they would not drag the front bag when at the bunch shooting being flush with the forend. Does anybody have an idea who made them and where they might still be available?
Thanks in advance,
Steve
