Do you hand load or buy ammo? My cross 308 likes 168 Berger classic hunters, 137 hammer hunter and 151 absolute hammer. My current load is a 165 cutting edge Maximus. I hand load all my ammo. With the 16 inch barrel whatever you decide I'd go 150 grain or less due to velocity loss. 165 grain will be around 2650 fps and my 150 grain was around 2700 fps.
