I also have a glock 40(my favorite pistol until I buy another 10mm) in 10mm with a trijicon reflex. the diamond leather guides choice chest holster is custom made for the gun and sight. perfect fit and beautiful leather work. took 10 days to get. it allows u to carry and keeps it out of the way. still room for your rifle.

Lots of good stuff out there...chest holsters certainly have their place in the field. I'm working on a few designs as we speak. What're some features you guys like about your favorites?

Google search Panhandle Red. You might laugh a little as it's mostly jewelry and ladies' stuff, but I assure you, our holster work is second to **** few! I can email or text pics of our work as well. 208-916- five nine four seven. Facebook and instagram gave some pics up as well

A few years back did a caribou hunt in Alaska and carried my brothers Ruger Super Redhawk in .480 in a nylon holster at the hip. Was not bad to carry all day long, kind of gave you peace of mind.
Now I bought a Glock G40 10mm, and this will be my primary sidaerm on my hunting, fishing, and trips to the woods. Just wondering what kind of holsters you are using? I have carried a 1911 in a Blackhawk Serpa holster and kind of like that one. But just trying to see what everyone else's experiences are. Always open to peoples thoughts and opinions. Thanks in advance.
I believe you answered your own question: "carried my brothers Ruger Super Redhawk in .480 in a nylon holster at the hip. Was not bad to carry all day long, kind of gave you peace of mind."

I would add Tucker & Byrd as a holster maker, Like Diamond leather, they use Herman Oak leather and do chest rigs very much like Diamond as well as belts that you won't wear out in one lifetime. I have at least 10 holsters and 5 belts from them. I use a cross draw design for most of my hunting environments, large snakes and hogs are a greater threat than bear in central Arkansas where I usually hunt. I carry a S&W Governor with two 410 rounds and four 45LC plus a speed loader in my pack. If I hunted in big bear country I would do the 10mm thing in a chest rig that I could wear over all of my clothing while wearing a pack as well. Don't do you any good if you can't get to it quick.
