Interested in getting a custom rifle made in one of the above Sherman calibers. I primarily deer hunt in southern Alabama but also hunt in Texas. I am looking at the above calibers for a long range rifle and am open to suggestions and advice. Appreciate any help.

Of your 3, go with the 6.5 Sherman SS. I really like mine, with N-565 and 156 Berger I'm getting 3,050 fps with very good accuracy.

I also like my Sherman 6.5, a great shooter on a long action using 280 or 270 brass.

I will also second the 6.5ss I run the 156 Berger at 3k with n570 and finally killed a piece of brass after 11 firings. This was the same piece I used to work up loads for two different hammer bullets and the Berger's. I just shot mine at 1268 last weekend. The most accurate gun I own.

I have two 6.5SSs (and had two others before that). A 20" and a 26". I love them both.

I shoot various bullets in the 20". My main load is a 130 OTM @ 3075fps.

My 26" only shoots the 156 Elite. Either 3003fps w. H1000, OR 3068fps w. N565.

They feed like butter from either a BDL w. Wyatt's extended box and staggered follower (20") or from a DBM w. Accurate WSM mags (26").

I also have a 26" 25SST. I have shot the 131 BJ, 135 Hyb, and now the 133 Elite. All have been between 3120 and 3350. I have kept mine pretty light, around 3188-3230. For deer and pronghorn, I LOOOOVE this rifle! Faster, higher BC, and decent bullet weight.

Being new, I am not allowed to respond to your classified ad for this rifle so I will do so here. I am interested. I am not as knowledgeable as you as to the components of your rifle but have a friend who is and want him to weigh in for me.

I'm hot on the trail of another 25. Thinking 25SST or 25/300 WSM. Sure love to build one on a short action. Really liking the 25SST myself just hearing about how much others that have one love theirs.
