Seminole Oklahoma area

I don't know all the places y'all are talking about. My wife was born in Grove (Grand Lake), but from age 5 grew up in Tulsa. I have been hunting around Pawnee and Fairfax for several years. I drive right by Kaw Lake all the time when we go to hunt. So I recognize some of the places.

We plan to retire to OK in a few years. If I could I'd transfer there with work. Unfortunately due to agreements I'd lose a ton of eaning potential by transferring as I'd basically reset my seniority. I grew up SE Colorado, so I don't mind the plains and the dry, my wife misses the trees and humidity. A good compromise would be living on the east side of I35 for me but the wife wants closer to Tulsa and family.

When do you plan to retire?

You mentioned Pawnee, have you eaten at Clicks yet?
Fairfax used to have a awesome place to eat called the Roller Inn but it closed several years ago

I have 10 years left with the RR before I can collect retirement.

Yes, Clicks is a favorite during deer season. We try to go every year, sometimes we're too busy field dressing to get there. We usually stay at the Pecan Grove the opening 5 days of deer season, then drive to Tulsa for Thanksgiving.

Wow looks like you guys have a good spot.
Some pretty good deer in that area
We have a great spot! Best part is that is where I took my daughter to get her first deer when she was nine. She's 20 years old now and solo hunted her first time at 18 years old. I've attached those pictures. As well as our best year in OK deer hunting and the buck we're all trying to beat.
