While this is not appropriate to the mission of this site, I have decided to start here. Years ago, I gave a figured Mannlicher stock blank to a friend from Idaho. He had a Siamese Mauser action and these can be converted easily to the 40-65 cartridge. This rifle was to be used for stalking in downed timber etc.
The rifle was built, then quickly sold to someone who valued it highly. Subsequently, the new owner and the rifle disappeared.
I am now seeking to see images of how that rifle looks and specifically how the stock appear, since the grain appeared to be very attractive. A bolt action 40-65 Mannlicher stocked rifle must be distinctive and uniqu, and if anyone on this site has any notion as to where that rifle may be, so I can get some images of it, I would be deeply appreciative for any information you may care to share with me in this matter.
Thank You,
WW
