Scalpers!

I agree Eric H.If one person buys a single container a new benchmark will have been set.
I set the benchmark at LGS for Rl 16 just to try out. But I did get primers a lot cheaper than online. WLR $59.99 & Rem 7 1/2 were $74.99. So I figured since I was saving a few bucks on primers. I could spend a little for powder. I wish now I had just bought more primers. lol

I have on old friend with a LGS and he warned me a few months back that Alliant had jacked up their wholesale prices ridiculously high, like 30% and more. He's not buying it For retail. He'd rather not have it than **** everyone off over the price.
Most products and services increased by 30-40% (people are still expecting pre-2020 prices today), and we all know the root cause. I started this thread nearly 3 years ago to see what incremental purchases/investments yield over time and prepare for the high prices/scarcity.

30-40% is a whole lot different than 200-300%
Again, ...
One must pay to play; no one is forced to pay or play.
There are still people out there expecting pre-2020 prices. The other day, two old-timers complained about powder prices at Scheels in Great Falls, MT; it was a dollar more from where they came from (Helena). Helena is 90+ miles one way. 🤣

Anyway, the point of my post is ...

Cheers!

Preppers plan ahead for times like this.
Hoarders plan for the ability to shoot when components become "unobtainable".
Scalpers are basically Hoarders that plan ahead to make huge profit off of the non Preppers.
Let's face it that reloading components (primers, brass, bullets, powder) are not ever going to be back at the pre Obama era. This FACT. Primers at $100+ and powder at $60-$70 per pound is here to stay. We just can't see very bad people selling powder at $100 to $300 per pound of the scarce powders.
Fortunately we -LRH members are taking care of each other. We would rather give a member that is in need of powder, primers, bullets, brass than chare them an outrageous price. We have given some components away and we have had other member send us free components.
Don't feel bad about purchasing more than you need, but also don't sell it off for more than you paid for it.
