So I inherited a Savage Model 219 firearm with 20 gauge and 22 Hornet barrels from my Grandfather years ago. The forearm is loose with both barrels installed. Apparently to fix this issue, holes were drilled all the way through the forearm stock and fastened with small bolts and nuts and wrapped with duct tape. Don't ask. I'm partially through the repair process. How can I fill in those holes and tighten it up so the barrels fit properly? The stock and forearm is walnut and I have removed the finish and sanded both pieces. I'm new to repair and refinishing firearms.
