SOLD/EXPIRED Savage large shank McGowen stainless fluted 6x284 barrel for sale

McGowen 6x284 stainless fluted, 28", .875 at the muzzle, 1/8 twist, 100 rounds down the tube. This barrel is threaded for the nut and is a large shank. During load development, I shot 3/4 inch groups at 300 yards with Berger 105gr.

I really don't want to get rid of this barrel but I need the money.

How do you tell if you need a large or small shank barrel? Sorry if this is a dumb question but I am interested in your barrel if it will fit my model 11 308

Your model savage is a small shank. You have to measure the barrel at the nut.

Don't mean to be rude cuz question was asked to seller but I'll go ahead and answer. The large shank actions are the model 12 LRPV, LRP and the wsm cartridges. The LRP is savages chromoly line and the LRPV is the stainless line as well as the model 12's that are chambered in the wsm's.

Again not meaning to be rude by answering just trying to help.
