Two questions, barrel length, and how did it shoot? I'm toying with the idea of making it my long range rig for 11-1200 yards. Was curious as to the groups you were getting. Did you do any reloading for it?

I did not load for it. I had a surplus of .308 ammo from HSM so I ran that. It's an 18 inch barrel pretty heavy profile. It would shoot an inch if you did your part. I was shooting light for caliber bullets 125gr. I had a can on it and ran an ATN 4K for coyotes. It's a fun gun.

Thank you for the info. I'd always wondered if the Hog Hunter would be a good platform to do a build on for a 1,200 yard .308. I'll think about this.

Do some research I never attempted to shoot it that far. I can tell you that it is minute of coyote at 500. That's the furthest I have attempted anything with it.

Does this have the Accu-Stock?
Is it a metal mag and bottom metal?

Yes on Accu-stock. It had detachable mag, factory savage set up. I believe the mag is plastic but appears to sturdy enough.
