Cabela's and Bass Pro are currently having a sale on this rifle for $299, including a Weaver 3-9x40mm scope.
My nephew is just getting into shooting and hunting, so I was thinking about getting him something basic like a Ruger American, but this price seems pretty hard to beat, even if you replace the scope with something better later.
Any experience with the accuracy, durability and reliability of this rifle? Worth it, or pay up for a Tikka T3 Lite or similar?
