I have seen this around a shot a few they seemed ok. Would they be choice for shooting some coyotes inside 50 yards?

It would do the job. I have one and like it a lot but I mostly shoot rabbits with it. I would not hesitate to shoot at a coyote inside 50 yards but a 12ga shotgun with buckshot or #4 shot on down would be a better choice.
