This has been my go to coyote night hunting rig. I started with a Savage 10PC, but wanted to be able to shoot heavier bullets than was feasible with the factory 1:9.25 twist allowed. So I got a Shillen Select match 26" barrel with 223 Wylde chamber for the longer throat and 1:8 twist. This accommodates 80gr Berger VLD's as well as 75gr HPBT which I also used. The barrel was fitted with a NSS precision barrel nut. Due to the accustock, the stock recoil lug was retained.
The scope base is a Warne tactical picatinny style 1 piece rail. The ATN Gen 3 6x NV scope comes with its own pelican case. When i bought this scope it was nearly $4000 at optics planet. The scope is subject to Itar regulations so can only be sold to a US citizen or green card holder. The transferring FFL will be required to verify compliance with this regulation.
I am asking $800 for the rifle with Warne scope base and $2500 for the scope, $3300 together. I will hold offers for individual items for 2 weeks to see if I can find a buyer who wants both items.
