Who has one? Will it stabilize 175/180gr boolits? The 1.9.5 twist should not but hoping it can handle the heavies.

Most Sakos have that slower twist. I believe Sako was targeting these rifles for lighter bullets. My 7RM with a 9.25 twist would keyhole the 175 Barnes LRX at 100 yards. Just look at a stability calculator for your twist and bullet. It doesn't really matter who made the rifle.

The Berger stability chart shows 175/180 marginally stable. But I think actual results would be more in line with yours.

From when I had a Montana Rifle in 7RM that was a 9.5 twist I recall the 175 Partition/Gram Slam (short flat base bullet) would stabilize but not a heavier monometal or Bergers.
Don't let that discourage you though the 160-168's Bergers/ELDs/etc. have legs to reach out there too and still arrive with authority.
Not sure about the Sako magazine box but you may be limited there too if the magazine length starts forcing the bullet into the powder space.

According to their marketing the mag is extended for reloading. I have a bunch of 180's.

Post #5 says his 9.25 twist 7 RM keyholes 175 gr Barnes LRX bullets. I don't believe Barnes makes a 175 LRX in 7mm, but the 168 gr Barnes LRX keyholes in my 7RM with 9.25 twist (but the 145 LRX shoots great). Most LR bullet makers now list what twist is needed to stabilize.
The 300wm is 3.6" max OAL. Booknis 3.34", so it is a nive upgrade to 3.55-58 type range. Not sure on 7RM.
