This L61R in 280 AI is admittedly a little bit of a mutt as it is a L61R in an AV stock. I took the AV action and made a "long ranger" out of it and put the 22" barrel (rechambered from 280 to 280AI) on this L61R action and into the AV stock. You can see the adaptation in the picture of the rear end of the action. Original round count on the barrel unknown. No AI rounds fired.
Bluing is excellent. Stock is straight-grained & plain with a right hand palm swell and in very good condition. There is some flattening of the checkering on the palm swell from usage. The recoil pad is original and in good shape but pretty hard from age. With Opti-lock rings (1") and bases the rifle weighs 7.8#. $1000 shipped, USPS money order, to your local FFL.

to the top... I'm a little surprised in the lack of interest for a relatively lightweight 280AI?? Any comments?

I'm a big fan... beautiful rifle, but already have two light rifles in 280 AI. Next for me is a heavier version for load development on the bench.
