Any one ever ran these two powders against each other? I have a 375 project and I ran through my applicable powders (15, varget, imr and h4350, 16, & 17 and 16 is leading the way right now. As with most people I believe there is "more" to be had. I am wanting to try imr 4166 and N540 but don't have it and don't want to if it's not worth it. Anyways figured I would throw it out there to the masses.

I've run 540 in a 243 and it was a decent powder, but I haven't run rl16 at all... plenty of time with rl17 though... As to your 375, I'm running rl15 with 285 speer gs pills, imr4320 with barnes 300tsx, and rl7 with a 280 hand-cast gas check pill... at one time I was running 300 hdy dgs bullets and imr4350 also.
I'm in the searching for velocity vs pressure stage using the 350smk. 16, varget, 15 in that order showed the most promise. 16 and h4350 ran nearly identical but it took a lot longer to pressure out with the 16. Project is kinda against a velocity to pressure wall right now with what I have. Hence the inquiry to the N540. I have used 570 and it was impressive, so logic leap to perhaps 540 will be as well. I'm having a bit of a time getting past 2600 fps no matter what powder I'm using with my 375h&h. Vit540 does show promise for pushing the barnes 300 also, but vit availability has been poor lately so I've stayed away. Sub moa groups at 2550 fps from 4320 are good enough for the 8# rifle I have.
