Replacement ABolt Barrel

I have a blued ABolt in .308 that's been in the safe for years. I'm thinking of changing barrels to make it a 22/250 as the bolt face is the same. I see MGW has OEM prefits that are for an ABolt ll. My question is: Will it fit an original ABolt action? How about an XBolt barrel fitting?

That's my plan after the holidays. I was just impatient....

I looked into it 4-5 years ago for my dads 94 abolt 300 win mag. Searched a lot and was pretty hit and miss if it could be done. Something about the threads getting messed up on a lot of the actions.

We ended up finding a bullet and load after it had lost accuracy for several years so stopped looking.

Ok. Thanks Dover.
I was looking to turn this into a varmint rifle on the cheap.
After further review....it may be more cost effective to just sell it and buy what I want.
