A real PITA if your not prepared or have the proper equipment. Neighbor machined a heat sink in an attempt to "save" the barrel, which was 50 years old. The acetylene torch went to work and the thing fell off. Results were ugly just due to remains of the solder etc. Was a fun experience as the barrel was going to be replaced any way. I really don't think we did the barrel any good.
