Without the actual stock to look at its a little hard to say, but I'm pretty sure that stock is inletted for a Enfield action, Remington used surplus 1917 enfield actions on the model 720 rifle

I don't think the 700's used those sling swivels. It may be a custom stock for a 700 action or similar. Beautiful wood!

The swivels are similar to the ones I've seen on Winchester model 70 Super Grades I always thought they looked good
I agree the wood sure does have nice grain and the shadow line cheek piece is unique

Almost positive its for a 1917 enfield.

Definitely not for a 700. I agree that the tang inlet matches a 1917 enfield but its also missing the bolt stop assembly inlet and the safety assembly inlet.
