I've acquired a large quantity of 165 gr .308 Accutips. Ive come to the conclusion these are made by Hornady and are actually a SST rebranded under Remington.

Anyone dabble with these? I shot the SST in a 257 Weatherby and 6.5 Creedmoor with excellent accuracy.

I would be loading in 30-06, 300 H&H and 300 Winny.

They are great hunting bullets. I use the 139gr SST in my 7mm-08 and the 162gr SST on my 7mm Rem Mag. Very accurate and fast killing bullets.

I'd say the 165gr in the 30-06 is perfect, but they are on the light side for the H&H and Winnie. On the 300 H&H not so much an issue but at Win Mag speeds at close range you would have to snug them in behind the shoulder, hitting the shoulder would make them fragment on impact and fail to penetrate to the vitals. At longer ranges and slower speeds they won't be an issue.

Stay safe
