Remington 700bdl bottom metal and mag box?

Ok I'm building a 7remmag and wondering how long I can load out with the Remington bdl mag box? Any information would be great.

They are ok. Shouldn't give you problems with a 7 mag

I just checked a factory mag box from a 300 RUM I have sitting on my bench and I can fit a loaded round with an OAL or 3.650" in there with plenty of room to feed.

My RUM IS 3.700", the H&H action is 3.650", the STANDARD action is 3.400". Your action will be a 3.4" mag box. I swap out all my factory bottom metal for PTG one piece stainless bottom metal.
I load my 338 Edge to 3.720"-3.740" in a RUM action, it will only feed one cartridge from the top of the mag with one in the chamber.

This is not true, I've had standard Rem 700 LA and they were all 3.6+ from the factory
