I'm not to the extent as RUM MAN is, but I've done load development for two RUM's and have had zero issues finding an outstanding load. Dad's RUM shoots 200 AB, mine shoots 230 Berger's. Both are very hard on elk and deer.

I'm in central VA, might think about a road trip. Do you travel north at all?Yes it is. Just north of Atlanta Georgia.
200 AB Ramshot Magnum 3151 FPS out of 26", Nosler brass and Fed215m.I just bought a Remington 700 in 300 RUM. It was one of the first Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Guns. It had never been fired. I have only shot it out to 250 yds but I am impressed. I think it was a logical progression for me as I grew up on 220 Swift and 270 Win, all flat shooters. I will be hunting big Country this year and wanted more energy at 500 yds plus. Any suggestions on loads? If I can get components? Right now I am shooting 180 grain Accubond at 3200 FPS, but thinking about a 200+ grain.
Thank you to whomever bought this! I don't have to think about having another one in the cabinet!
