24 inch 280 AI (SAAMI) SS fluted barrel. For remington with standard threads. Barrel is marked 280 Ack Imp
1.150 at tenon, straight goes for 1.350 then tapers to .650 at muzzle. It is threaded 9/16x28 but has about 1 1/2 inches straight ahead of flutes if you want to rethread for something else. Looks like a #2 contour, maybe #3 depending on mftr. Overall very lightweight barrel.
Mftr unknown. Got a deal on two used. Both were identical. Seller had no history of barrels but came from same place.
Both were heavily carboned in throat and coppered very bad. Looked like they had never been cleaned. I cleaned first one up two years ago and built a nice shooting light 280AI. It went under 1" with first load session of RL 26 and 160 ABs, so never went further.
Just found this one back in the safe, spent a week cleaning the carbon throat and copper out. It was very dirty. Borescopes well now when clean. Lands are still sharp in most areas, no firecracking, throat is good, not washed out. Crown is good. One very small minor occlusion but that happens with new barrels. Overall this barrel has plent of life left in it. Would be great for inexpensive lightweight build. Thread on and headspace.
Just attached photos of edge of throat and lands
$225 shipped.
