I must have been the lucky guy today.
I happened upon one of the reloading distributors and saw RL17 for sale in 5# jug and was able to
snatch one and after checkout it disappeared from the site. I got a confirmation email...so we will see!

Lots of people don't like rl 17 because of the temp stability, but it's easily mapped over time. This is 5 shots with a 178 eld in 308 with single digit ES. It's a good powder to snag for several different cartridges because it is over looked now.

Yes gohring3006... I too have uses for it in a couple of rifles.
Please note!!
Not saying its for every caliber and the greatest of all powders!
It gets me the speed along with accuracy that others can't in those particular ones!

"Sure nuff". A while back I had a Browning Abolt that would not shoot to my expectations so I tried the R17 and…..SHAZAM I was there. Temp stable or not as some folks complain, I like it.

166HH RL17=3250 in 300WSM for me. Temp concerns just need to be managed no different than we did years ago for non temp stable powders which are the majority.

Agreed! I am pushing the 215 Berger at 2850 FPS out of my .300 WSM. It is no slouch to 1KY.

it's the cats meow in the 7mm-08 . I use it with 140 gr Bergers at 3080 FPS . fast and accurate .

Works well in SAUM cases. Also works in my hunting 284 Win for velocity but H4350 is more accurate.
