Reloader 26

This will give you an idea as to or how temp effects powder. I only wish there was more showing of powder and how it effected.
Double base powder generally more sensitivity than single based powders.

I've loaded RL26 in 340wby (225 AB), 7STW (160AB), 30-06 (various 180s), 270wsm (140AB) and 7mm08 (160SGK). My growing sense is it is magic when it comes to velocity potential, but not all bullet combos shoot it well, irrespective of COAL. It does seem to run dirtier than other powders I use regularly. I have not experienced temperature issues. I'm continuing work with the 7mm08 and 160s, and will try 200s in the 30-06 next spring.

I just broke into my 8 pounder of RL26 I bought four years ago. Went through 2 one pounders. Haven't seen any since . It is temp sensitive in heat. Experienced it I 300 win mag and 6.5 PRC. Works great in those 2 and 300 Rum. Retumbo , H1000 and RL22 been best in 7 mag with 160 to 168 bullets. Haven't tried RL23 in 7 mag yet but great in 6.5 PRC and 6.5x 284 .
