SOLD/EXPIRED rechamber barrel

morning, is this task possible. I have a douglas air gage barrel

chambered in 257AI. the barrel is #6 straight contour, 26".

I want to rechamber to 257 Weatherby. is this possible without

shortening the barrel?? THK. Ulightbulbgun)

How many rounds down the barrel? it can definitely be done as the case head and belt are larger diameter, also the length of the case is long so it will be cutting into new throat. But if the old chamber has a lot of rounds through it, I would check with a bore scope to see how much you would have to set it back to get rid of the throat erosion
