After getting input on brass for an upcoming 30nosler build, I decided to buy from ATLAS DEVELOPMENT GROUP, ADG rather than hornady or nosler. The ADG was priced les than the nosler and just above the hornady brand.
When I recieved the brass I was quite impressed that it came well packed in 50 round ammo boxes with foam inserts, each wrapped in Kraft paper and labeled with the lot info. Per my request, all 3 boxes were labeled from the same lot.
There were no creased shoulders, no bent case mouths and the annealing marks were all uniform and stayed high on the case as it should be. I could not see any flash hole burrs inside the cases, so perhaps they are drilled?
I like to weight sort my brand new brass before any prep. Others may have their own method but this is mine.
The first box initially ranged from 255.3 -256.9, a 1.6 grain spread. Box 2 was 255.0-256.6, a 1.6 spread, and box 3 was 255.0- 256.9, a 1.9 grain spread.
I then regrouped the brass into three boxes of fifty, from lowest to highest for an even tighter spread for each box.
Box A is now .7 grain spread from 255.0-255.7.
Box B is .4 grain spread from 255.7-256.1.
Box C is .8 grain spread from 256.1-256.9.
Each box of 50 will be kept together and processed the same for the life of the brass through loads, cleaning sizing etc
Without exception I am truly impressed at the initial quality of the ADG brass. I can't wait to see how it holds up in use.
THANKS TO THE FOLKS AT ADG FOR A QUALITY PRODUCT AT A REASONABLE PRICE!
