How far away can you pick up a coyote, at night, or during the day? I ask because I stalk them as they lay up for the day, could a guy pick up their heat signature laying in a stubble field or grass during the day?

The farthest I've personally seen a yote was 367yds, as it was sitting on my berm. This was at night. I know I have seen a skunk at 250yds at night. Deer a long ways away.

It works the same way during daylight as it works off of temperature change/differences. I used it to find studs in my garage too.
I'll see if I can get a dog and how far during daylight.
