Does anyone here use CC#34 or CCI#41 primers for precision reloading (600 - 1000 yard rifles)?

Advertised as: Mil spec. Relialble. good for preventing slam fires in semi-autos.

They're cheap and go bang. Not sure what shelf life would be.

Note to self- You have primers. I won't say plenty but you ain't hurtin.

They are the same as other CCI, except they have harder cups and a little more anvil clearance.

I have never used them, but have read that older rifles with weaker firing pin springs can sometimes have issues with the harder cup.

I think both are similar to magnum primers

CCI rates them as a standard primer, rather than magnum.

I bought a slip of 100 by accident years ago for my 260 Rem, didn't even realise my mistake until I read the designation on the packet.
Didn't see anything different with them, load grouped the same.

Just a regular harder cup primer.

if using in an ar with a high speed hammer it might not set off the primer due to not enough force. fix by using a higher spring pressure on the hammer or just use a regular weight hammer.

Might have to give em a try. They were sometimes available when you couldn't buy another large rifle primer.

Not loading for precision shooting but used them in a 270 Win and compared them to fed 210s and got slightly better SDs\ groups at 300yds with the #34s. Since I bought 1000 of them I've noticed the prices have gone up to almost the same level as match primers recently.

I use the #41's always in my 5.56 ammo that I make for my AR15's.
I use the #34's in all my AR10's. I started using them in my 7RM and 7STW loads and so far the FPS spreads are very tight

Well, those #34's didn't change the group size at all against regular CCI primers, still shot under 3/8MoA.
The only primer that rifle didn't like was the Federal 210 Match, it hated them.

I have used the number 34's in Service Rifle competition in my M14's, they work very well. I also used them in my F Class rifles, still use them in various other rifles.

When the China Virus hysteria first started, I found a large amount of 34's in a shop, they were just sitting there gathering dust, I bought them all for less than $40.00 a box.

I use them specifically for all my AR type rifles. I don't use them in my bolt action rifles (however, if i'm short of regular primers, they will work).

I was under the belief that the #41 was a mag primer and the #34 was just a little hotter than 210M since many military loads are ball powder.

I use #41 in all my loads for ARs and #34 for the M1A most of the time

I use #41 primers in my semi-auto 6 ARC. The ES and SD doesn't show much change from CCI 400/450 primers that I was using before.
