I am hearing a lot of chatter and seeing "special recipes" on the web for using magnum primers when loading 6.5 PRC despite no reloading manual I can come across saying to do so. I just got a 6.5 PRC and am about to start loading for it and I plan on using Federal Large Rifle 210 Match primers that I have because all reloading manuals I have and come across indicate doing so. Does anyone have an opinion or thought about using magnum rifle primers for loading 6.5 PRC? I do wonder about large rifle primers being able to effectively kick-off some of these 60+ grain recipes with some of the slower burning magnum powder loads. However, the books say use large rifle primers.
