I was cleaning my gun the other day and went through my normal regimen of about 3-4 patches soked with kg-1 on a jag and tight fitting patch. The first 2 patches usually come out solid black then by the 4th they are pretty clean. I then hit it with the nylon brush a few strokes then one more patch with solvent to make sure it's not black, then dry patch out. It was late but I decided to let the last solven patch set in the bore for an hour or so while I finished watching the ball game, which I don't normally do. Well, I fell asleep and the KG-1 set in there for about 8 hours. The next moring I dry patched the barrel and this is what the patches came out looking like. I've never seen the linear streaks of carbon on patches like this before. Did I get some fouling out by letting is soak that I normally would miss?
