Pet load.

If you didn't show pressure signs… just move seating depth up to .020 off with same powder charge weight.
Not sure why you tried .050 to start.
It's usually best to start closer like 10-20 k off and and work farther away in 30k increments
So… in a sense you started in the middle.
Now try 20k off and see how she flies.
There's a chance it may squeeze a bit tighter group..
If not… roll with what you found since it sounds like a good group.

If you're a bit new to loading, I wouldn't get any closer than 20k off.
First off , let me say a big thanks to the people that responded and gave advise .
Its great having sites like this just for helping people like me lol .
So , i did manage to test some loads this morning before the rains hit .
It was a three way test for me as it was different powder, bullets and seating depth combo .
All were 6.5 Creedmoor in Remington 700 magpull and Tikka CTR .
All were 3 round groups at 101 yards .
All powder was H4350 and all bullets were 139g Lapua Senar seated to a COAL of 2.879.
There was 1x5 round group on the Tikka CTR just to test for a known powder and bullet but new seating depth .

Rem, 39g H4350 =0.614 ,
40g H4350 =0.337 ,
41g H4350 =0.210 .

Tikka ,39g H4350 =0.991 ,
40g H4350 =0.406 ,
41g H4350 = 0.142 ,
5 rounds of 140g Amax with 39g IMR4831 = 0.523 .
I am blown away by the results .
I was ready to put the Remington in a vise as it would not group with hardly anything other that 140 ELD-M and 39g IMR 4831 .
I have pics but for whatever reason it says the format is invalid . I guess 41g of H4350 seated at 2.879 is the ticket for these two rifles .
Gonna try the same loads on my Christensen Arms BA next .

Congratulations!
Those rifles deserve a spot in the safe, not in a vice! Lol
Looks like your 20k seating brought the best out of both!

It most certainly did .
I managed to upload one pic .
Gotta try and do the same with the Remington pic lol .

The Remington is the one that surprised me the most .
I was about to make a coat hanger out of it but WOW .
Only 3 round groups to start with but 5 rounders coming soon .

Next up today was my trusty Tikka T3 Tactical in 308 .
This has always been a good shooter using 42g or IMR4064 and 175g Sierra Match Kings .
Usual length was 2.800 . I tried 2.905 and it made a 5 round group in 0.373 at 105 Yards . I am seriously impressed .

I'm happy the OP has found a place where he can be at peace with his loads. I have a few 6.5 Creedmores in various configurations and typically find myself using Varget, RL-15 and H4350 across the board. Even in the 6.5 x 47. I do love the 6.5's and celebrate their diversity. I do, however feel guilty that I do not have a 6mm Creed and I need to do something about that.
