Hey guys I have an older Remington 700 LA standard BF that I built years ago and still use it as my daily driver hunting gun 6.5-284.

The action has the peep hole sights on the side and I cannot find a side bolt release that is the right size to cover both holes. If anyone has experience covering up the holes with the side bolt release I would appreciate the input. Neiska or maybe a different style would work but again any ideas or case studies appreciated!

You could simply find the appropriate screw size in stainless steel, Loctite them in, grind the heads off, file to contour and refinish by bead blasting or Cerakote.

Just eyeballing it, looks like the forward hole wouldn't fall within the slot for a side bolt release.
If you just want the holes to go away, in addition to the suggestion above- I've zapped them with a MIG, even used JB Weld to fill them (though the epoxy surface finish/porosity is different than the steel, and you can "see" the patched areas if you look closely).
