Like is says, looking to do a DYI pedestal mount for my Kudu pictured below. As you can see it's a little more then a shoulder mount. My biggest concern is finding a good bracket to build into the pedestal to support the mount, he's not light. Anyone have experience in a similar endeavor? New house has limited space and I think this will be the best option.

Try looking up some Taxidermist Supply Websites and you can get an Idea on how to make one. The base needs to be wide/heavy. You can use a tree for the stand.

Figured I'd post what I found as a solution. This model is discontinued, but they have some good stuff from what I can tell. Decided I could make this work without a pedestal and tuck him in tight since it's adjustable.

Turned out just making a pedestal was the best option. Late response but following through.

I like that, I will be in the same situation once I complete the new house. I was thinking something like a TV mount fastened to a end table/cabinet would maximize my square footage and allow me to position/reposition it.
