I'm not sure which "rocks" the most; the property, the deer or my Sauer 100.

30-06 Hornady Interlock 165 grain. 166 yards. Interlock is an old design mechanically affixed jacketed soft point. Hardly new tech, but still effective for any critter in the Ozarks.
Not my favorite bullet but just happens to shoot unbelievably small groups in this Sauer. I bought a whole case of the stuff. But I am not limited to it. This rifle shoots a lot of different bullets in the 165-190 range really well. I prefer Accubond and Fusion/Speer.

30-06 is my favorite cartridge. At the distances I shoot I settled on the 165 gr Remington Core-lokt because my 30-06 rifles shoot the 165 grainer the best. I only go heavier if it is a longer distance .

Nice buck, Congratulations!

No brainer! I would be shooting the same bullet/load!

If I shot a group like that from a 30-06 I wouldn't even look at another bullet!
