outside the recipe

I am reloading 7mm rem mag with 150 gr eld-x bullets my powder is viht 160 so far has the best groups but I am at the max for the recipe in my nosler book. if I was going to start adding more powder to the load how much of a jump in grains should a guy try when looking for how much pressure the load will take. I was thinking of a 1/2 grain at a time is this two much. the reason I ask isi have never yet ventured from published recipes

.5 gr until you hit pressure, then back off and .2 gr. to find your load.

What Lance said is good for the bigger cartridges like your 7mm rem but .2gr-.3gr on smaller cartridges like the 223. Just for safety sake.
