Welcome to true capitalism, where supply and demand curves constantly adjust.
People say it's unfair because they're unable (or unwilling) to pay elevated prices for a rare commodity. In a few rare cases, they're right (basic food staples and medicine), but mostly people just don't like to admit they cannot have something they want.
Glad to see we've hit something of a ceiling, though. Maybe it'll start to adjust down due to people getting burnt out on looking and decrease the demand. Or the supply will ramp up. Either works.
