Ordering Stock Help

I'm looking to order a new stock for a new build. The cartridge for the new build will be a 300 RUM and plan to shoot Berger 215s.

I'm looking at Manners for the stock and have couple questions on how to order it.

1. Bottom metal will be UM DBM. What inlet do I need to select on manners website? Hawkins M5 Oberndorf?

2. Action potentially will be Defiance AntiX or TiX. Do I select REM700 LA or the Defiance Anti option?

3. Would I have any issues with running a Defiance action in a 300 RUM in regards to COAL? I would want the proper setup so I can run the bullet out there.

Edit: I need to retract the above. Spoke with manners this morning and stand up customer service!!!!! The individuals I spoke to were new and in training and I should've cut them some slack…..

I tried today and it was embarrassing. The two people I talked to had no clue. I asked them the difference between Hawkins M5 vs Hawkins M5 Oberndorf and they said they didn't know. I kept telling the individuals I know the bottom metal I want to run, what inlet option do I need to select. Seemed like I was speaking a different language.

Makes you not really want to run a manners haha.

I ordered a stock from McMillan and asked for it to be inletted for the m5, 700 clone Impact long action inlet. I ordered an Oberndorf bottom metal from Hawkins and a Wyatt mbe 3 magazine. Contact Nick Deppershmidt at Hawkins. He will give you all the info you need.

Reach out to Unknown Munitions. They've used and use manners stocks in builds. Jake the owner runs a 300 RUM as his favorite hunting rifle and produces the bottom metal in house you want to run. They will tell you exactly what to tell manners or just let Unknown Munitions handle it for you. Hope this helps.

Do you know what bullet and oal you will be running. There is a lot of component options out there that will need to be picked first before picking a stock. I will be happy to walk you thru.

The front office has added a few more customer support personnel over the last few weeks that are still in training. It will take them a little time to get up to speed with all the custom options. IIWY, decide on the exact action you are going to use. You might be OK using 215s, but if you are worried about the COAL, esp. if you change your mind and use 230s and 245s, you might want to consider 300 Norma instead. Also, do not forget to consult with the GS, which will work on your custom rifle. Good luck!

I just built this 300 PRC to shoot 245 Bergers. I ordered the Manner LRH with the 700 LA and M5 inlet with Hawkins Obendorf bottom metal. Mine has a Wyatt 4" CFE-9 box and a Defiance Ti-X action. I just started shooting it last weekend and I love the Manner stock.

So m5 inlet obendorf means what? I thought the cfe9 was for bdl inlet?
Sounds like m5 being larger than bdl lets you do bdl or dbm?
