More pictures available. 30" M/ F, Field grade. Dual triggers, extractor model on a featherweight frame. A solid and useful piece of Americana here. Rust blued barrels and the original case coloring on the receiver. Super tight lock up, functions like new. Lever is far to the right indicating low use. The LC Smith brand was bought by Marlin after WW2, the floor of the factory collapsed in 1950 making this one of the last ones built.

Who did the refinish?

I refinished the stock and had a local 'smith recut the checkering. I rust blued it, about a dozen coats to turn it very dark blue, nearly black. I used the same sweat box and chemicals we use for browning flintlocks. no slop, all of excellent quality.
