Oklahoma bruiser

Very Welcome you are keep us posted on that new 300 , mine set up for target thks šŸ˜Š
Will do. Just waiting on it to be built. The rifle, stock, trigger, bottom metal, bases, and rings have all been paid for.

I have managed to get my hands on plenty of Berger 215's, 8# of H1000 and 1000 large rifle magnum primers. I can not wait for the build to be completed.

Here are a few photos of the buck I took with my Hoyt November 2, 2020. I had watched this buck almost daily from July until I finally managed to get my shot.
As is with his broken tines he scores 176+. He has four tines that are completely broken off totaling at least 16". So if he hadn't broken his tines he would have been north of 192!

Needless to say I was beyond ecstatic once I finally got him on the ground! The best part is he came off my land which has been in our family for over 100 years. We have never taken a buck this big on our property. Prior to this we had only taken a 164". All of the habitat and herd management is starting to pay off.

I can not wait until next fall. We have put in about 10 acres of food plots that have not been present before. The plan is to try to take another decent buck from long range next fall with my new 300 win I have on order. Bat action, Krieger barrel, McMillan stock, Kahles 624i scope. It should be able to reach out there a ways. I even have a steel range set up out to 830 yards. With this set up I hope to set up new targets out to 1000+

A new challenge for next year!

Wow! that is a stud. bought 60 acres of timber in Western OK a year and a half ago. the first year we put soybeans and they didn't last long. This year we got clover going and it is doing great.

were you feeding them any protein?
